beautiful world - Three at once
Designer Comment: Simon Frank/Chris Mayhew
Bullying is often well hidden, so it's great to use a medium as public as bus sides to expose it. We heard of a little boy who committed suicide after being bullied on the school bus - anything that can be done to stop more tragedies like that happening must be positive thing. It's always more memorable if you can connect your line with what people are staring at in some way as well.

Looks good. Not sure if the younger will understand the message?
I think it should say something about reporting the bullying. Most people forget or are not willing to report bullying. "Tell Someone. It's not your fault, And they CAN help"
louise roberts | 28 July 2009
any message has got to have some effect than no message as being a victim myself and still has lasting effect on my life I fully support any publicity this will give

its not fair on the ones being bullied the bullies just make me angry i know some one how was a lovely girl she was geting bullied on he school bus for nothing she never whent to school and tryed to pull a sicky every day its not fair

well.. it's like I knew!
Oliver Herrin | 18 July 2009
I certainly give my total support to this initiative. Bullying is insidious and leads to so much individual, long lasting trauma. more needs to be done to ensure total awearness of this issue

I work with young children and this is perfect. It's simple, gets the message across and it takes great skill to produce something this effective. I will certainly be using this throughout the school to promote anti bullying. Well done, you designers - at last someone who's in touch!
Lisa | 17 June 2009
An important issue but I don't think the most has been made of this opportunity. I think a child wouldn't quite understand what the sentence means so wouldn't pursue the message/contact info. Should be simpler
katie | 12 June 2009
hi im 10 in worthing i think bulling is now nice.
steve | 12 June 2009
Everyone remembers their school bully. This campaign reminds everyone that it mustn't be tolerated. Where better then bringing it out in the open on buses....
toni | 11 June 2009
i think this is very powerfull.i also, would like to see it expanded as bullying happens around comminutys out side school hours .and makes children prisoners in there own homes through fear of playing out,so go go go and stop these cowardly bullys,
Cuthbert Snittle | 09 June 2009
Nice One ! Go, Go<Go
Jason Press | 09 June 2009
you guys deserve to win. great ad and brings out cowardly subject of bullying to the masses.
katie england | 09 June 2009
Hi my name is katie and i am 11 years old, many young people will be effected be bullying, like my self i now how it fells to get bullyed by someone and it is not right to bulling and who is geting bullyed i stand by your side all the way be strong be happy don't worry:)
Gemma Haynes | 09 June 2009
my son was bullied at school. glad to see something that brings the issue out in to the open.
Michelle Smith | 08 June 2009
Great idea! Anything that can help put a stop to bullying and stop people suffering is always a fantastic thing!
Karen | 07 June 2009
Great ad and use of medium. Such an important cause.
Melissa Griffiths | 05 June 2009
its ok.
Looks remarkably similar to a brent cross bus ad that's live right now.
Nothing ground breaking with this ad - the charity is doing most of the work, as seems to be the norm in with this competition.
Step-Up Finance | 04 June 2009
Simple but strong message -
well executed
Jamie Riddell | 04 June 2009
What a great poster - so simple, yet effective. I do hope they win.
Su - twitter.com/applecored | 03 June 2009
such a witty comment and nice advert as well
Twitter.com/OldPostcards | 03 June 2009
A very clever slogan - excellent and a very worthy cause.

fantastic advert. strong idea and makes you think back to school days.
Sara | 02 June 2009
this ad is brilliant! the most creative one yet! the rest are all pretty rubbish if i may say so! if this doesn't win then CBS must stand for CRAZY BUT STIPID.
Border Collie Rescue | 02 June 2009
This medium is ideal and relevant for this message in view of the amount of bullying that occurs on school buses and public transport. This one gets our vote because it is a worthy cause.
Howard Lake | 01 June 2009
Very appropriate medium for this campaign. Bullying goes on in many places of course, but I imagine many people can remember it happening to them or their friends on a bus. I certainly can. Well done Beautiful World and Bullying UK.
Martha | 01 June 2009
I completely support the principle but I would be surprised if any kids were familiar with the '... 7 come along at once' joke, tired as it is.
mine | 01 June 2009
I think this website is really amazing and i like they way people can relate to it.
Olivia Asquith | 31 May 2009
I think it is a brilliant idea sums up the problem which i think is good to teach young people not to bully other younger people. It encourages older people not to people younger then them but they still do i can tell you a few names.
Maggie | 30 May 2009
A great idea! it is indeed 'on the bus' that bullying takes place so where better to have the poster! I would like to see a campaign about adult bullying also.
shauna | 29 May 2009
Dis is a brilliant poster! its simple nd gets da point across!
Liz | 29 May 2009
Pete and Eddy.... it's a great ad if it's created a talking point, which it has.
John Carnell | 29 May 2009
Michael - Thanks for the observation with the URL we do support both ww w. and bullying.co. uk I think it's important to remember that not everyone understands a URL without www. + from a technical point we would have to add http: // to replace the www. as some mobile phones don't translate addresses without a way to identify it's a port:80 url such as ww w. or http: //
I for one will love the day we can drop www. but for now to allow the largest cross section of society to access our award winning advice and service it needs to be that way.

Pete and Eddy. Bitter men with bitter comments. Care to direct us to your own efforts so we can learn how it should be done?
Aly Gynn | 29 May 2009
I think it is brilliant. Many ad agencies would use the cliche of 3 buses at once for advertising sex, hoover bags or sofas - but knowone has. When 'good causes' which effect everyone need to be communicated - the efforts are often trashed because they are 'too political, boring or banner waving' - this is cute, succinct, clever and - I suspect, downright effective.
Michael | 29 May 2009
Does it really need to say "www." infront of the web address when it could have a more bold statement instead?
Laurence Robb | 29 May 2009
Yeah! No bullies! They can hide anywhere.
Miranda Stork | 29 May 2009
As someone who was bullied continually through school, I think this is a fantastic cause-but what happened with the ad? It isn't very original, it isn't really hard-hitting enough, and it doesn't really advertise that you're trying to prevent bullying. It simply states that it exists. Any kid being bullied will look at that and wonder if it's a site for them or the bullies......
Pete | 29 May 2009
Another 'good cause' ad taking the voting by storm.
Good cause, poor ad, maybe the creators have posted a link on an anti bullying site to gain extra votes... similar to the tactics of the MAG 'clear landmines' ad, another poor example of creativity.
Must try harder.
Eddy Jones | 29 May 2009
Not very original, probably took you about 1 minute to come up with this one.
Sorry great cause, but total lack of imagination.
Can do better. 2/10
Mitch | 29 May 2009
Snappy and humorous. Luv it
Twitter.com/Wonder_Wheel | 29 May 2009
I must confess-- I don't quite get it. I mean, I *almost* get it. I see what you mean to a degree, but the message doesn't quite come all the way through.
Andy Maybury | 28 May 2009
Maybe there should be follow-up versions with pictures of people in suits, men in overalls, nurses and doctors, people in a canteen, etc to show that it's not just children who suffer bullying. Having learnt how to spot them, you realise how many there are around!
Well done on your good work; keep it up.
Carl | 28 May 2009
This ad is genius. What bus route is this on?
etain usher | 28 May 2009
love the poster, bullying needs to be puplisied and schools need to do more to help those affected and prevent further intimidation
Sarabjeet Sidhu | 28 May 2009
A great idea and one I think should be encouraged. However I think the message is bit too complicated for our Bullies to understand!!
Teresa Johnstone | 28 May 2009
Fantastic! You do a wonderful job! Lets hope your ad wins and manages to get across the message that bullying will NOT be tollerated.
EllenBigFan | 28 May 2009
bravo...if only more schools would see how bullying has a LIFE TIME affect. Thank-you
Anneliese | 28 May 2009

Steve Cattell | 28 May 2009

Liz Rose | 27 May 2009
Hopefully this will help the very real problem schools have with Bullies.
Lorraine Aston | 27 May 2009
This is fantastic there is so much bullying going on, great work
Sashi | 27 May 2009
It's a brilliant way to get the message across to both children who are being bullied and to the bullies themselves. I know that if I saw this advert when I was younger it would have helped me see what was happening from a different perspective and I would have felt a bit more confident to stand up for myself. Thank you!
Nicki Powles | 27 May 2009
I think this is a wonderful idea. It gets a powerful message out to the public and hopefully we can all act in a positive way to put an end to this cowardly act or at least control it.
Rob Dyson | 27 May 2009
Just the right side of witty, without trivialising the issue. I like!
Liz Carnell | 27 May 2009
Fantastic advert, sums up the problem in just a few words.
Carole Spiers - World Authority on Executive Stress | 27 May 2009
I certainly give my total support to this initiative. Bullying is insidious and leads to so much individual, long lasting trauma.
John Carnell | 27 May 2009
When Beautiful World approached Bullying UK about the competition we thought it was the perfect chance to get across a very powerful message about Bullying on the bus network, Ben Vodden committed suicide at age 11 due to bullying on his school bus and Beautiful World have created a message that will raise awareness that bullying can happen anywhere not just in the schools and playgrounds across the UK
Steve Bridger | 27 May 2009
Many young people will be able to relate to being bullied on the bus. I hope this campaign would let them know we're looking out for them & that bullying is a cowardly act.
